At Care Consultants for the Aging, we are committed to providing care for senior patients who may be disabled, in hospice care, or need more assistance as they age. Our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) not only provide professional and hospitable service, but also genuinely care about the patients’ health, happiness, and safety. From home health care, assisted living, companionship, medical and non-medical care, to general care and household support, we are able and happy to create a personalized regiment of care for you and your needs, all at a low cost to you.
With locations in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, our agency serves a wide range of seniors from different areas with diverse backgrounds. Through our Caregiver Registry, we will consider your needs, requests, and budgets to find the right caregiver for you. Our skilled CNA’s are experienced to care for seniors with a variety of health concerns such as Dementia and Alzheimers, and are more than willing to help you with whatever you need.
Along with our CNA’s we have an incredible staff at Care Consultants for the Aging. Who are known to volunteer their time to seniors in low-income areas who need assistance. On Saturday, August 15, CCA employees and volunteers of all ages participated in the Project Housework’s “Brush Up” event, a day spent painting senior’s houses and performing other house work that they may not be able to do themselves. In order to qualify, seniors must be over the age of 60 years old, live in Douglas or Sarpy county, and be low-income. One senior whose house was painted during the event was particularly happy to be a part of the day, as she needed to freshen up her house and “didn’t want it to look shabby.” Project Housework had also previously redone her roof.
“Just to see the homeowner’s expression on their face… [they have] been in tears, and so thankful, because they couldn’t afford to do it themselves and there’s no way they could do it,” is enough of a payment, said one volunteer. Project Housework never charges a single senior for their work, and our employees and other workers volunteer their time for free to participate in the event.
It was a special day for all involved, and encompasses the kind of love and care all our employees at CCA have to offer.
