Area Agencies on Aging

This nationwide network was established to work with seniors and their families in finding services that will allow them to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. The staff serves as case managers, coordinators and advocates within the community. They also study the needs and availability of resources.

Some of the programs offered by the Area Agencies on Aging:

Community Service
The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Grandparent Resource Center, Housing Information, Information & Assistance, Intergeneration Orchestra, Legal Referrals, LifeLong Links, Senior Centers.

Long-Term Services & Supports (Call for eligibility information)
Care Management, Caregiver Support, Medicaid Waiver, Durable Medical Equipment, Personal Emergency Response, Home Delivered Meals, Chore Services, Bath Aide and Homemaker Program.

Nutrition Programs
Meals at Senior Centers, Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels), Farmers Market Coupons.
